DUBLIN, Alameda County — November 4, 2026. Sherry Hu leads the three-candidate mayoral contest as Dublin also receives the first complete set of election-night vote-center returns for two City Council districts. The figures are part of the county registrar’s unofficial 12:29 a.m. election update.

Mayoral race: Hu ahead

Sherry Hu has 5,925 votes (58.85%), compared with Michael McCorriston’s 3,419 (33.96%) and Kiran Mohammad’s 724 (7.19%). This is a later snapshot than the city’s first mail-ballot-only count; the registrar will continue canvassing votes.

District 2: four-candidate contest

In Council District 2, Richard Thornbury leads with 779 votes (36.94%). Steve Lorey follows with 648 (30.73%), Daniel Hor has 485 (23.00%) and Tejpreet Singh 197 (9.34%). The difference between the top two is 131 votes, and no final winner is certified.

District 4: Qaadri ahead

In District 4, Kashef Qaadri has 1,337 votes (56.39%) versus Shivraj Singh’s 1,034 (43.61%). The gap is 303 votes in the overnight count. The district contests are separate elections, not a citywide ranking of council candidates.

All precincts are marked as partially reported despite the 100% precinct reporting tally. Valid ballots may remain uncounted, and results can change before certification.
